About city
Step into the ancient heart of Ródos, where the shimmering turquoise waters of the Aegean kiss the limestone cliffs of a city that feels like a living museum. The medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, unfolds around its bustling market square, offering a kaleidoscope of Venetian and Ottoman architecture that whispers tales of centuries past. Beyond the historic walls, vibrant neighborhoods pulse with the rhythm of local life, where coffee spills onto cobblestones and friendly faces greet weary wanderers with open arms. Culinary adventures await in every corner, from sizzling souvlaki in open-air tavernas to sweet honey cakes dusted with cinnamon at family-run bakeries. As the sun dips below the horizon, the old harbor transforms into a glittering stage for sunset sails and lively nightlife that blends traditional dance with modern beats. Strolling through the winding streets feels less like sightseeing and more like stepping back in time, yet every moment remains vibrantly, undeniably here and now. Whether you seek quiet contemplation by the sea or energetic exploration of its rich cultural layers, Ródos offers a journey that leaves you wanting to return again and again.

Just walk from the airport terminal to the bus stop near Asōmatoi, where you can catch bus 59 to head toward the coast. After about half an hour on that bus, you'll hop on bus 113 at Mandraki for just a few more minutes to finish the journey. With roughly forty-five minutes of walking and bus rides mixed in, you'll easily be strolling through the city center by the time you arrive.
